Artworks by Ernest Archibald Taylor 1874-1951
Born Greenock. As well as painting and drawing he etched, designed interiors, stained glass windows and furniture. Joined Wylie & Lochhead as a trainee designer in 1893.
Lectured in Furniture Design at Glasgow School of Art. Married the artist Jessie M King in 1908. Lived in Paris between 1911 and 1914. Settled in Kirkcudbright in 1916 and established a Summer School on Arran. Exhibited RSA, RSW and GI.
