Artworks by Felicity Walker
Artist Felicity Walker has been teaching and exhibiting in Ayrshire and Southern Scotland for over 25 years. Her paintings are collected by lovers of the deep colours of a damp climate and the seemingly ordinary made significant by an artistic eye. She carries her sketchbook everywhere to capture these moments ready for re-working in her style in the studio.
Felicity trained in Art/Education in Brighton in the 1970s. After arriving in Ayrshire in 1976 she spent time getting to know the landscape of Scotland and began teaching with Community Education. This has led to an interesting career balancing a varied teaching environment with exhibitions at first within Ayrshire galleries and then holding several successful one-woman shows at The Broughton Gallery in Biggar plus raising children.
She has exhibited at the Paisley Art Institute. She has a growing love of the Borders and Galloway Landscape. This year she has been part of a successful exhibition in The Red Barn Gallery over the Border near Penrith and is a regular exhibitor at McGill Duncan Gallery.
